ARCHITECTURE HISTORY AND THEORY

In this module, we will be able to acquire an understanding for architectural theory through a consideration of intentions, concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language as well as contextual relationships. We will also have the opportunity to examine architecture history through a chronological survey of the developments of Western architecture from the beginning of time to the Enlightenment, looking at the intellectual, aesthetic, technological, political and economical factors which have influenced architectural design.
