PROJECT 2C:
AXONOMETRIC PROJECTION
"An axonometric perspective, also called parallel projection or axonometry, is an orthographic projection on an oblique plane as a means of representing three-dimensional objects."

INTRODUCTION
In conjunction of the completion of Project 2B, we were tasked to produce an axonometric drawing of the Farnsworth House in a scale of 1:100.
The main goal of this project is to develop our interpretation skills of two dimensional drawings and translate them into three dimensional drawings.

PROJECT OUTCOME
REFLECTION
From this project, I've learnt how to accurately produce an axonometric projection of a building. By using set squares, I was able to draw a trimetric axonometric drawing of the Farnsworth House. As I never had the opportunity of visiting the actual site, it was a challenge to properly understand the internal mechanical core of the building. But thanks to a vast amount of trusted sources as well as supplementary materials from my lecturers, I was able to find pictures of the exterior & interior in several perspectives, which greatly aided me on how I can include the interior details of the building into my axonometric drawing to emphasize the central mechanical core of the building rather than just drawing a roof, which I find takes away from the already simplistic design of the Farnsworth House.
All in all, this project allowed me to practice and develop my visualisation of forms and space, which I know will greatly aid me in future projects to come.
